Donald Ray Crowder, age 91 of Kingman, passed away on Saturday morning, September 16, 2023. He was born in Kingman, Indiana on October 6, 1931 to the late Eston D. & Mary E. (Massey) Crowder.
Don graduated from Kingman High School in 1949 and proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1950-1954 and was stationed on the USS Oakhill during the Korean War. He was a millwright at General Motors for 46 years. He was a car enthusiast and hobbyist and enjoyed watching racing. He enjoyed riding his bike and was a big fan of Kingman.
Don is survived by his daughter, Jill (Joe) Gee of Covington; a brother, Bill Crowder of Greenfield; seven grandchildren, Carly (Danny) Stevens, Bryan Chandler, Chandler Petrus, Cassy (Craig) Richardson, Lindsey Crowder, Baylie Gee, and Blake Gee; nine great grandchildren, Farrah, Isabelle, Xavier, Fionna, Feebey, Cate, Colt, Ava, and Adi.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Jeff Crowder; and an infant brother.
Visitation will be at Sanders Funeral Care, 203 S 1st Street in Kingman on Friday, September 22, 2023 from 1:00 pm till the time of the funeral service at 3:00 pm with Pastor Steve Crum officiating. Burial will follow at Kingman Fraternal Cemetery with military honors by the United States Navy. Memorial donations may be given in Don's memory to the American Cancer Society.
