Mr. Donald Lewis Priebe, 87, Crawfordsville, passed away Friday, October 25, at 4:53 PM in the Hickory Creek of Crawfordsville Healthcare. He was born September 13, 1926, in Waveland to Samuel L. and Myrtle Larue (Whitecotton) Priebe.

Mr. Priebe was the Office Manager for Farm Bureau Co-Op Seed House in Crawfordsville for 15 years. He was a 1944 graduate of Waveland High School and a graduate of the Indiana Business College in Indianapolis. He was a WW II US Army Veteran; member of the American Legion Post #72; member of the First Christian Church of Crawfordsville and attended the Calvary Chapel in Crawfordsville.

He is survived by his children: Dawn (Jeff) Zachary, Crawfordsville; Chris (Brenda) Priebe, Rockville; Kevin (LaDawn) Priebe, Crawfordsville; and Brett Priebe, Lake Holiday. Also surviving are his sisters: Marge Jounkin, Crawfordsville; Margaret Canine, Crawfordsville; Mary (Robert) Gooding, Crawfordsville; Martha Greve, Greenfield; 9 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Charles and Junior Priebe; and great grandsons: Zachary and Kolton Turner.

Cremation was selected with a Public Committal Graveside Service to be held on Monday, November 4, at 6:00 PM in the Freedom Cemetery, on Highway 234 W. near Waveland, Rev. David Keesee officiating. There will not be any funeral home services prior to the graveside service. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the American Legion and VFW Posts of Crawfordsville.
