Donald "Donnie" Howard Vogus, age 72, of Crawfordsville passed away at 10:00pm on September 17, 2015 at home. He was born in Norwalk OH on September 11, 1943 to the late Howard and Florence (Wenger) Vogus.
Donnie graduated from Bellevue High School in OH and proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1962 to 1966 during the Vietnam War. He married the love of his life, Patty (Furr) Vogus on April 7, 1984 in Ft. Lauderdale FL. Throughout the years he worked as an air plane mechanic which took him all over the world. Donnie was a member of the Byron Cox American Legion Post #72 and enjoyed cross word puzzles, wood crafting, traveling, and spending time and sharing stories with his many friends and family.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Patty, of Crawfordsville; a stepson, John (Carol) Guilliams of CO; a brother, Ronald (Marsha) Vogus and a sister, Patty (Joe) Mira, both of OH; grandchildren, Travis and Jeremy and several nieces and nephews.
Cremation was chosen with a gathering of friends and family on Friday, September 25, 2015 from 1-3pm at the Bryon Cox American Legion Post #72, 101 Walter Remley Drive, in Crawfordsville with military rites following.
