Mr. Doras Edward Wagner, age 80, formerly of Waynetown, In. passed away at 12:30am Thursday May 10, 2012 at the Indiana Veterans Home, West Lafayette.
Born on July 19, 1931 in Orange County, Indiana he was the son of Carel William and Thelma Elizabeth Nolan Wagner. A 26 year member of the US Navy he also worked for Ralston Purina, Lafayette, In.
He is survived by 2 sons: Ed and Lucy Wagner of Lafayette, In; Aaron and Susan Wagner of Bowling Green, In.
2 daughters: Angela Bates of Lafayette, In and Mitzie and Doug Mangus of Delphi, In.
1 brother: C.R. Wagner of Warrick, Rhode Island. 14 Grandchildren and 18 Great Grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Saturday May 12th at Shoemaker Funeral Home with a funeral service at 8:00pm officiated by the Rev. Clayton Kendall to be followed by cremation. The family will hold a private scattering of the ashes at a later date. Those who wish may make memorial donations to the American Heart/Stroke assn. 3816 Paysphere Circle, Chicago, Il. 60674.
