Dorathy Bailey

Mrs. Dorathy Louise Bailey, 90, Crawfordsville, passed away Sunday, August 17th, at 12:08 PM, in Williamsburg Healthcare. She was born May 3rd, 1924, in Marshall County, Iowa, to George H. and Ruth Bernice (Chrisman) Lane. She married Clarence Paul Bailey on April 21st, 1946, in Colfax. He preceded her in death on September 3, 1992.

Mrs. Bailey was a Farm Wife and Homemaker. She graduated high school in Iowa; was a member of the Moose and Elks Lodges, and the American Legion Auxiliary; and she had attended the Colfax Methodist Church.

She is survived by her children: Sherry (Herschell) Yater, Crawfordsville; Randy (Marcia) Bailey, Waveland; and Larry (Vicki) Bailey, New Market. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren; 1 step grandchild; and 8 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; and 2 brothers: Ralph and Jack.

Funeral services are scheduled for 12:30 PM Wednesday, August 20th, at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, Crawfordsville, with Rev. Steve Whicker officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:30 AM until 12:30 PM.
