Mrs. Doris C. Dodds, Martinsville, formerly of Crawfordsville, passed away Monday, July 13th, at 10:35 PM in the St. Francis Hospital, Indianapolis. She was born December 9th, 1921, in Jamestown, Indiana, to Frank and Rosemary (Grace) Zachary. She married Bert Dodds in Clinton, Indiana, on June 18th, 1938. He preceded her in death in 2002.

Mrs. Dodds was a Homemaker and was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Crawfordsville. She attended Montezuma, Indiana schools; was a volunteer at St. Clare Hospital, Crawfordsville and loved to play Bingo.

She is survived by her sons: Bert (Jill) Dodds and Billy Joe (Beth) Dodds, both of Martinsville; Frank (Kay) Dodds, Houston, Texas; and Donald (Lynn) Dodds, Paducah, Kentucky. Also surviving are grandchildren: Jeff Dodds, Steve Dodds, Dan Dodds; Sheila Swenke, Piper Moldon, Matthew Dodds, Cory Dodds, Chris Dodds, Michael Dodds, and Elizabeth Dodds; 16 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; her son, James; and her granddaughter: Wendi Gordon.

A Funeral Mass is scheduled for 10:30 AM Saturday, July 18th, at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, 1306 E. Main St., Crawfordsville, with Fr. Christopher Shocklee officiating. Burial will follow in the Indian Creek Hill Cemetery, near Crawfordsville. Friends may call at the Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, 315 S. Washington St., Crawfordsville, on Friday, July 17th, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM. A Rosary will be recited in the funeral home on Friday at 7:00 PM.
