Dorothy Naomi (Thompson) McIntire “Aunt Dot”, age 95 of Kingman passed away on Sunday, November 17, 2019 at Franciscan Health Crawfordsville. She was born in Parke County on October 3, 1924 to the late Fred Marion & Goldie Bertha (Cunningham) Thompson. On April 20, 1943 she married Phillip C. McIntire, and he preceded her in death on March 20, 1996.
Dorothy was a loving wife, homemaker, and Jehovah Witness. She loved her cats and dogs and collecting porcelain dolls, loved Victorian antique furniture, and loved the arts, especially paintings. Her husband, Phillip, would have paintings made for her often.
She is survived by two nephews, Jack (Dawn) Thompson and Marlon (Pam) Thompson; two nieces, Shelia Young and Ruth Tomblin; sister-in-law, Mona Thompson; and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; Phillip; a brother, Jack Thompson Sr; and a sister, Bertha Carter.
Visitation will be at Sanders Funeral Care, 203 S 1st Street in Kingman on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 from 1:00 pm till the time of the funeral service at 2:00pm. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens in Rockville. Share memories and condolences online at www.sandersfuneralcare.com
