Dorothy Lucille Stockdale

rs. Dorothy Lucille Stockdale, 90, Crawfordsville, passed away Tuesday, November 29th, at 5:15 PM in the Franciscan Health Crawfordsville Hospital. She was born October 4th, 1926, to Earl D. and Mary Elizabeth (Gooding) French. She married Richard Lester "Pete"

Stockdale on October 14th, 1944, in Sumter, South Carolina. He preceded her in death on February 6th, 1994.

Dorothy had retired from Sommer Metalcraft and later worked at the Crawfordsville Wal-Mart as a Cashier for 10 years. She later moved to Dundee, Florida, and resided there for 15 years. She had attended the First Christian Church in Wauchula, Florida, and in her free time enjoyed playing Euchre.

She is survived by her daughter: Judy (Don) Harshbarger, Crawfordsville; her sisters: Betty Louise (Walter) McBee, Darlington; Rosemary Marie (Allen) Lyon, Crawfordsville; Linda Lou (Arlie) Thompson, Crawfordsville; brother: Earl Junior French, Westfield; grandchildren: Jennifer (Chris) Sharts, Darlington; Stephanie Shelton (fiance'-Lance Hall), Bloomington; great-grandchildren: Tara (Lindsey) Norris; Chloe Sharts; Abbeyrose (Mitch) Fairfield; Tyler Shelton; Erica Shelton; 2 great-great grandchildren; 1 step great-great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

Per Dorothy's request, cremation without public services was chosen. Powers-Priebe Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. Memorials in memory of Dorothy, may be made to: The Marie Canine Cancer Center, 1706 Lafayette Rd., Crawfordsville, IN 47933.
