Edna Conrad

Mrs. Edna M. Conrad, 88, New Market, passed away Sunday at 11:50 AM at Williamsburg Healthcare. She was born March 17, 1923 in Montgomery County, to Frank and Elsie (Sayler) Steele. She married Richard E. Conrad on March 18, 1946 in Terre Haute. He preceded her in death in 1992.

Mrs. Conrad was a homemaker, farm wife, and had worked in the Southmont School Cafeteria. She was a member of the Faith Baptist Church and was a 1941 graduate of New Market High School. In her free time she enjoyed spending time with her grandkids.

She is survived by 2 sons: Dale (Elaine) Conrad and Rick (Susie) Conrad, both of Crawfordsville. Also surviving is a sister, Alice (Basil) Hester, New Market: 3 grandchildren; Shad and Shelby Conrad, and Kristie Hornaday; 3 great grandchildren; Isabella, Cooper, and Owen Hornaday. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Emery Steele.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 14, at 1:30 PM at the Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, 315 S. Washington St., with Rev. Tony Roe officiating.
