Edwin Steele

Edwin W. "Buddy" Steele, 71, Crawfordsville, passed away Tuesday at 10:01 PM at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis. He was born November 12, 1939 in Montgomery County to Edwin E. and May (LaFoe) Steele. He attended Montgomery County Schools and retired from Raybestos Brake Products after 33 years where he had been a fork lift driver. He had been a member of the Indiana National Guard in Darlington for 22 years. He was also a member of the Wabash Club at Raybestos.

Mr. Steele is survived by one son: Jeff (LaVon) Steele, Crawfordsville; one daughter: Julia (Joe) Lynch, Crawfordsville; one brother: Emmett Steele, Kansas; one sister: Cheryl Stockton, Crawfordsville; and 7 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother: Hershell Steele.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 20, at 2:00 PM at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, 315 S. Washington St, with Rev. Everett Davenport officiating.
