Elizabeth "Beth" Ann (Whalen) Tharp, age 45 of Crawfordsville, passed away peacefully at The Gathering Together Hospice in Plainfield. She was born in Crawfordsville on December 27, 1975 to Jerry & Sue (Robinson) Whalen.
Beth graduated from Crawfordsville High School and received her bachelor's degree in accounting from University of Evansville. She married the love of her life, Bradley Duane Tharp II on August 28, 2004. She worked as a statutory analyst for Humana and a financial analyst for IU Health. She was a member of Crawfordsville Christ's United Methodist Church. She enjoyed the outdoors, reading, and attending her kids sports and school activities.
She is survived by her husband of 16 years, Brad Tharp II; her children Carter Alexander Tharp and Madison Elizabeth Tharp; two brothers, Scott (Carrie) Whalen and Mark (Aletia) Whalen and her parents, Jerry & Sue Whalen; sister-in-law, Brenda (Jeff) Tharp-Lowell; several nieces and nephews and many other family members.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Howard M. & Mary Elizabeth (Chaffee) Robinson, Robert W. & Margaret A. (Sherrill) Whalen; and aunt S. Lynn Robinson-Stickels.
Visitation will be at Sanders Priebe Funeral Care, 315 S Washington Street in Crawfordsville on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 from 5:00pm -7:00pm. The funeral service will be on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at 11:00am with Pastor Chris Renick officiating. The service will be live-streamed and recorded which can be viewed on her obituary page at www.sandersfuneralcare.com. Burial will follow at New Richmond Cemetery.
