Mrs. Ellen Cecelia Mason, 88, Crawfordsville, passed away Saturday, February 21st, at 11:45 PM in the Franciscan St. Elizabeth Crawfordsville Hospital. She was born November 20th, 1926, in Grinnell, Iowa, to Roy D. and Emma B. (Belcher) Thompson. She married Walter R. Mason on March 2, 1946, in Greencastle. He survives at home.

Mrs. Mason was a Homemaker and had worked for Mallorys, West Super-Market, Kostanzer Drug Store, Dairy Queen, and Dari-Licious. She was a graduate of Crawfordsville High School; a member of the Crawfordsville First Church of the Nazarene; had volunteered as a "Pink Lady" at Culver Hospital; and in her free time enjoyed doing embroidery.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children: David (Debbie) Mason, Crawfordsville; Janet (Bob) Stull, Crawfordsville; and Joanne Cline, Groton, Connecticut. Also surviving are brothers: William (Nellie) Thompson, Crawfordsville; Rev. Richard (Camille) Thompson, Cicero; sister: Edith May McGuffey, Crawfordsville; grandchildren: Rob and Scott Stull; Dave Mason, Stephen, James, and Matthew Cline; step-grandchildren: Ryan and Aaron Yerkes, and Amy Stewart; 8 great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister: Beulah Thompson; and granddaughter: Christy Williams.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 24th, at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, with Rev. Mark Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the Mace Community Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from Noon until the service time. Memorials may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
