Ellen Stevens

Ms. Ellen R. Stevens, 73, Crawfordsville (Darlington), passed away after battling cancer on Tuesday, August 12th, at 7:15 PM, in the I. U Health Lafayette Hospital. She was born July 18, 1941, in Indianapolis. She had been married to Charles F. Stevens and they later divorced.

Ms. Stevens had worked at the New Palestine, Indiana, Bank, and retired from Peerless & Associates of Dallas, Texas, where she had been a Software Designer. After retirement she worked in the County Market Deli for several years. She was a graduate of Washington High School in Indianapolis, and in her free time she enjoyed reading and her pets.

She is survived by her children: Lorri Stevens, Darlington; and Gregg Stevens, Jacksonville, Florida. Also surviving are her sisters: Barbara (Jerry) Compton, and Julianne Miller, both of Evansville; her grandchildren: Kerri (Derek) Hayes; Kayla Stevens; Noah Stevens; Sydney Stevens; great grandchildren: Laine and Jarron Hayes. She was preceded in death by her son: Ricky Stevens; her Mother: Ruby Frances (Harrison) Liford; her father; and her brother: Donald Liford.

A Public Graveside service will be held on Friday, August, 15th, at 2:00 PM, at the Oak Hill North Cemetery. No visitation services are planned.
