Mrs. Esther Louise Schulthes passed away April 23rd, at Wellbrooke of Crawfordsville. She was born June 1, 1926m in Urbana, Illinois. She was the oldest child of Robert William Patrick and Esther Harding Patrick. She graduated from Ellettsville High School in 1944.

Esther "Patty" worked at the Pentagon during WWII. She married Wes July 19, 1947. He died in 1982. She also worked at Carle Clinic and then became a farm wife and homemaker. Esther was an active member of the Jackson Township Farm Bureau, the Wallace Church and their Ladies Aid group. She also taught the adult Sunday school class. She currently attended the First Assembly of God.

Esther loved to read, write short stories and poetry and loved dearly her family, friends, neighbors and her beloved cats.

Surviving are daughters Helen Baird, Lebanon; Lucinda (Larry) Jacoby, Crawfordsville and son Les of Terre Haute, brother George of Bowling Green, KY, and a sister-in-law, Betty Patrick of Ellettsville. She also leaves behind grandchildren: Danielle Deener Hann, Matt Baird, Bridgette Heurta, Adam Deener, and Allyson Connell along with 9 great grandchildren.

Her parents and brothers Bob and Phil, along with in-laws Janice and Jay Schulthes are deceased.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The First Assembly of God, Wallace Christian Church or the JD Schulthes Scholarship fund, 410 W Main St. Sidney, IL 61877.

Funeral Services will be Monday, April 27th at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, Crawfordsville. Viewing will be 11A-1P with funeral at 1PM. Online condolences may be sent to: powerspriebefh.com
