Eugene Ruark

Eugene A. Ruark Sr, 76, of Tangier, and formerly of Northwest Indiana, passed away at 10:45 AM Thursday, December 01, 2011 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born on January 29, 1935 in Hammond to the late Clarence and Edna Ruark. He graduated from Thornton Fractional High School in Calumet City, Illinois and worked as a shop foreman for GATX Tank Erection Corporation and retired after 30 years. He had a love for nature and was an avid hunter and outdoor enthusiast.

Surviving are two sons, Eugene (wife Brenda) Ruark, Dale (wife Cara) Ruark, both of Tangier, two daughters, Cheri (husband Randy) Lenzo, Vicki (husband William) Penman, both of Lowell, two sisters, Alma (husband George) Peterson, Sharon Sickles, special friend, Jackie Ruark, 13 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Clarence Ruark.
