Evelyn Maxine Eggers

Mrs. Evelyn Maxine Eggers, 85, Avon, formerly of Crawfordsville and Martinsville, passed away Saturday,December 23rd, 2017, in the Hendricks Regional Health Hospital, Danville, Indiana. She was bornDecember 4th, 1932, in Ladoga, to Leo Aaron and Mary (Hall) Oliver. She married Algie J. "Bud" Eggers, Jr. in Crawfordsville onNovember 8th, 1957. He preceded her in death onAugust 3rd, 1998.

Evelyn was a Retired Registered Nurse, having worked for many years at the Culver and St. Clare Hospitals in Crawfordsville. She was a 1951 graduate of Ladoga High School and a 1956 graduate of the St. Elizabeth School of Nursing in Danville, Illinois. She attended the Youngs Chapel Church and was a member of the Martinsville Senior Center. In her free time, she enjoyed reading and playing cards.

She is survived by her daughter: Amy Martin of Martinsville; her son: Gordon (Laura) Eggers of Avon; her grandchildren: Melissa (Mike) Dillon, Martinsville; Ashlyn Eggers, Indianapolis; Aaron (Darian) Eggers, Danville, Indiana; and great-grandchildren: Nevaeh, Addison, and Cameron Dillon. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her 2 sisters and 4 brothers.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Thursday,December 28th, at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, Crawfordsville, with Rev. Phillip Bilyeau officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill North Cemetery, Crawfordsville.Friends may call at the funeral home onThursdayfrom Noon until the service time.Memorials in Evelyn's memory may be made to the Martinsville Senior Center, 1369 Blue Bluff Rd, Martinsville, IN 46151
