Everett Dale Davis

Everett Dale Davis, age 70 of Crawfordsville, passed away at home on Wednesday, July 11, 2018. Everett was born in Crawfordsville, Indiana on April 4, 1948 to the late Joseph & Hazel (Mason) Davis.

Everett graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1966 and served in the United State Army during Vietnam. He then graduated from Indiana State University with a business degree. In 1978 he married the love of his life, Dawn Brandenstein. He enjoyed a career working for the State of Indiana for 49 years as a property and real estate assessor and tax auditor.

Indy 500 racing and Formula One Racing were highlights in his life in addition to collecting European sports cars. He was a member of the Wabash Valley British Sports Car Club.

He is survived by his wife, Dawn Davis of Crawfordsville; a sister, Sharon Dexter, of Oxford; a brother-in-law, Norman Brandenstein ; a sister-in-law, Sharon Davis; 9 nieces and nephews; and 23 great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Kenneth Davis.

Family will greet friends at Sanders Priebe Funeral Care, 315 S Washington Street, in Crawfordsville on Sunday, July 29, 2018 from 2:00pm till the time of the memorial service at 4:00pm with Celebrant Amanda Atkins officiating. The family request no flowers and that memorial donations may be made in Everett's memory to Public Broadcasting, WTIU, 1229 East 7th St, Bloomington, IN 47405-5501.
