Faye Nelson

Faye E. Nelson, 84, Seymour, formerly of Crawfordsville, passed away Sunday, July 24, at her son's home in Waveland, Indiana. She was born December 7, 1926 in Marion County, Indiana, to Franklin A. and Viola E. (Fine) Rentchler. She married Russell Richard Nelson on October 8, 1943 in Indianapolis. He preceded her in death on December 5, 1990.

Mrs. Nelson was a Licensed Practical Nurse for 30 years, working at Morton Plant Hospital, Clearwater, Florida for 8 years and Schneck Medical Center for 4 years. She was a member of the St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Seymour, and the St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Crawfordsville.

She is survived by her children: Mary Ellen (Rollie) Rogers and Nancy Louise (Charles) England, both of Seymour; Russell Raymond (Therese) Nelson, Waveland; and Richard Alvin (Cindy) Nelson, Gainesville, Georgia. Also surviving is a brother: Alvin Dale (Carolyn) Rentchler, Crawfordsville, and a sister, Mary Katherine (Kenneth E.) Edwards, Alfred, Colorado; and 14 grandchildren and several great grandchildren

There will be a public graveside service Saturday, July 30, at 10:00 AM at the Oak Hill North Cemetery, 598 Oak Hill Road, Crawfordsville, with Father Dennis Faker officiating.
