Frances Louise Morris

Mrs F. Louise Morris, 90, New Market, passed away Sunday, August 5, at 5:50 PM, in the St. Elizabeth Central Hospital, Lafayette. She was born January 14, 1922, in Steele, Alabama, to Mark and Ciffie (Bachelor) Bryant. She married Bruce C. Morris, November 1, 1943, in Georgia. He preceded her in death November 14, 2000.

Mrs. Morris was a homemaker; a member of the New Market Baptist Church; attended school in Alabama; and loved to work in her yard with her flowers and enjoyed quilting and crafts.

She is survived by her daughters: Betty (Jack) Deck, Waynetown; Patti (Fred) Zimmerman, Mace; Judy Brewster, New Market; 2 sisters: Josephine Taylor and Nellie Ruth Baswell, both of Alabama. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 1 sister.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 8, at 1:00 PM, at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, 315 S. Washington St., Crawfordsville, with her granddaughter, Tami Mussche leading the services. Burial will be at the Ladoga Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM.
