Francis Coffing

Mr. Francis A. "Frank" Coffing, 92, of Crawfordsville, passed away on May 21, at 6:45 AM in the Bickford Cottage. He was born March 7, 1921, in Fountain County to Theodore C. and Lucy Anna (Schultz) Coffing. He married Delma Lee Cain November 16, 1941, in Crawfordsville. She preceded him in death in 2002.

Mr. Coffing retired after 30 plus years with the US Postal Service as a letter carrier.

He leaves two children: Stephen Lee Coffing and Kay Burnett. Also surviving is a brother: Richard Coffing; grandchildren: Kimberly Burnett-Pasqualini, Rhonda Coffing, Christina Coffing; five great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A special thank you is extended to his niece, Beverly Wilhoit who assisted him during his final days.

A public graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 28, at 10:30 AM at the Oak Hill Grant Avenue Cemetery with Rev. Alan Goff officiating. Friends may call at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home on Monday, May 27, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to a charity of your choice
