Mr. Freddie Dean Lewis, 66,Crawfordsville, passed away Friday, at 1:20 AM in his home. He was born January 7, 1946 to Freddie V. and Lois P. (Neff) Lewis in Crawfordsville. He married Anita S. Morgan on May 29, 1969 in Crawfordsville. She survives.

Mr. Lewis was retired after 42 years from Raybestos Products Company, Crawfordsville, where he had been a tool and die repairman. He was a 1965 graduate of Crawfordsville High School; member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he had been a Bishop; member of the Montgomery Lodge #50 of Free and Accepted Masons; had been a Boy Scout Leader; member of the Wabash Club at Raybestos; was an avid bowler; coached Little League Baseball; and love to fish.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Sherrie L. (Tom) Lyon, Waynetown; Vicki Dawn Lewis, Crawfordsville; Brian Dean (Carla) Lewis, West Lafayette; his brother: Johnnie W. (Deborah) Lewis, Crawfordsville; his sister: Cheryl J. Douglas, Crawfordsville; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson: David Matthew Perry.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 3, at 10:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Chapel, 1086 N.-125 W., Crawfordsville, with Bishop

David Morgan conducting, assisted by Bro. Tom Swinford, Bro. Gary Allen, and Bro. Darren Jensen. Burial will be in the Bethany Cemetery, Marshall, Indiana. Friends may call at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, 315 S. Washington St., Crawfordsville, on Sunday, September 2, from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. A Masonic Memorial Service will be held at 8:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
