Gary Lee Livesay, age 61, went to be with the Lord from home and in the presence of his loving family Saturday evening, September 13th.

He was born in Crawfordsville IN on December 2, 1952 to Larry and Beulah Livesay. He graduated from New Market High School, Indiana, and then from United Electronics Institute in Louisville, KY. He married his childhood sweetheart, Paula (Blakeslee), in1973 in New Market Indiana and they celebrated 41 years together this last April. He came to know Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior in 1975. He was employed by AMPEX corp. in Colorado Springs, CO for 18 years as an electronics technician. Following that, he was employed as a broadcast engineer at Wish TV Indianapolis for 22 years.

He was always creating and inventing things. He was amazingly innovative and could fix anything. His nickname at Wish TV was MacGyver. He was not afraid to try anything and he delighted in serving others. His two passions in life were his family and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with everyone he knew.

He is survived by his wife, Paula, daughter Cari (Jonathan) Marquez of Greenville SC, son Will (Jana) of Dubuque IA, son Garret (Crystal) of Waynetown IN, and son Mark (Kami) of Chattanooga, TN. Grandchildren, Jeffrey, Jadon, Rosie, Jackson, and Callie Marquez

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Johnny, and his sister-in-law Dianne Livesay.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM Thursday, September 18th, at the New Market United Methodist Church, 101 E. Main St., with Charles Fizer officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Hill North Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday, September 17th, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
