Mrs. Genetha A. Waldon, 94, Crawfordsville, passed away in her home on Saturday, August 20th, at 8:56 PM. She was born June 10th, 1922, near Mace, to Herman and Calve (Hicks) Linn.
Genetha was employed as a Supervisor at R.R. Donnelleys & Sons. She was a 1940 graduate of New Ross High School; a member of the First Christian Church of Crawfordsville; and a member of the old Delta Sigma Kappa Sorority, Omega Chapter. She spent her life in Montgomery County and enjoyed traveling to Cuba, Washington DC, Florida, and Canada. She also enjoyed sewing, doing crossword puzzles, and reading.
She is survived by a son: Theron David White; a step-daughter: Joyce Northcutt; granddaughter: Cindy White; nieces: Vicki Ketchum and Kathy Haltom; nephews: Hal Thomas Haltom and Timothy Jay Haltom; cousins: Mary Lou Pippin and Robert Patterson. She was preceded in death by her husbands: Richard H. White and Floyd Waldon; sister: Dama Jo Turner; an infant brother; her parents; nephew: Richard H. Haltom; stepson: Bernie Waldon; and friend and companion: Elliott Hardaway.
A Public Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, August 25th, at 11:30 AM the Mace Community Cemetery, with Rev. Dorman Winger officiating. Friends may call at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 24th, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
