Mrs. G. Maxine Campbell, 90, Crawfordsville, passed away Friday, December 13, at 4:15 AM in the Wellbrooke of Crawfordsville Healthcare. She was born February 22, 1923, in Brownsvalley, to Clyde and Lottie (Jones) Patton. She married Ed Campbell October 12, 1946, in Crawfordsville. He preceded her in death in 1994.
Mrs. Campbell was an Office Assistant for 24 years for the eye doctor office of Drs. Alexander and Ludwig in Crawfordsville. After retirement she worked part-time at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home. She was a 1940 graduate of Waveland High School; a member of the Browns Valley Missionary Baptist Church; 50 year member of the Athens Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star; member of the Psi Iota Chi Sorority; and a Volunteer Teacher Friend at Hoover and Hose Schools.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; 5 sisters; and 3 brothers.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 17, at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Green officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Grant Avenue Cemetery.
