Mr. Glenn A. Rightsell, age 56, of Linden, IN. passed away Friday evening December 28, 2018 in the emergency department of Franciscan St. Elizabeth Health, Crawfordsville, IN.
Glenn was born on April 6, 1962 at Michigan City, IN. the son of "Jack" Ophir Orin Rightsell and Mary Anne (nee: Tollman) Rightsell and graduated from Isaac C. Elston High School in Michigan City, IN. He married Gloria "Gigi" Egan on July 7, 2007 and she survives. Glenn was self employed in construction, owning A-1 Tuckpointing. He attended Harvest Chapel Church in Lafayette and sometimes Liberty Chapel Church at Crawfordsville, IN. Glenn loved to collect and fix motorcycles, especially Harley Davidsons, old cars and boats. If it had wheels or floated and was old he wanted it. He loved dogs having owned several and his favorite was named Clause. He was known to help anyone and did not expect anything in return, He just wanted to help people.
Along with his wife, Glenn is survived by his mother Mary Anne Rightsell, Andrews, NC. siblings: Jacqueline (Mike) Hanna, Lafayette, IN., Bill (Cari) Rightsell, Valparaiso, IN.; Sue (Steve) Jordan, Andrews, NC.; Jim (Roselle) Rightsell, Valparaiso, IN.; Larry (Bebe) Rightsell, Knoxville, TN.; Catherine Rightsell, Waynesville, NC.; Jessica (Ben) Rawe, Bridgeton, MO and Michael (Amy) Kress, Winchester IN. Also step brother, Bruce Long, Michigan, city, IN. and step sister Jamie Laurence, Monticello, IN. Glenn will also be greatly missed by his children, Jesse (Danielle) Vaught, Otterbein, IN.; Crystal (Mark) Morris, Monticello, IN.;Kelly Vaught, Linden, IN.; Joseph Vaught, Lafayette, IN. and Cara (Corey) Koontz, Crawfordsville, IN. 15 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews from his wife's family. Glenn considered many of his friends to be part of his family also.
Funeral services for Glenn A. Rightsell will be held at 2:30 pm Saturday, January 5th in the chapel of Sollar Baker Funeral Home, 400 Twyckenham Blvd, Lafayette, IN. with Pastor Tom Camp officiating. Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery at Romney, IN. Visitation will be Friday January 4th from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at the Sollar Baker Funeral Home, Lafayette, IN. Those who wish may make memorial donations to Shoemaker Funeral Home, P.O. Box 455, Waynetown, IN. 47990 to assist the family with funeral expenses. Envelopes will also be available at the services.
