Gregory Foye

Mr. Gregory L. Foye, 74, Crawfordsville, Indiana, passed away Sunday, December 16, in the St. Elizabeth East Hospital, Lafayatte, Indiana. He was born February 24, 1938, in Wisconsin, to Wayne Russell and Bernetta (Weinschenik) Foye. He first married Lida Casey and then later married Shirley Ann Krumrie, March 14, 1987, in Valparaiso, Indiana. She preceded him in death on May 17, 2011.

Mr. Foye was a retired pressman, having worked at RR Donnelleys, Crawfordsville; Sir Speedy in Northern Indiana; and doing some work in Florida. He was a 1955 graduate of Bowers High School; member of the Moose Lodges in Crawfordsville and Portage; National Rifle Association; Crawfordsville Gun Club; Odd Fellows Lodge; Crawfordsville Army National Guard; was a hunting and gun enthusiast; and loved the Bears, Cubs, and the Colts.

He is survived by his sons: Ricky (Lois) Foye, New Smyrna Beach, Florida; Russell (Barb) Foye, Geneva, Florida; Casey (Megan) Foye, Marengo, Indiana; Joe (Debbie)

Krumrie, Paoli, Indiana; sister: Annette (Ron) Hitch, Crawfordsville; brothers: James (Doris) Foye, Honolulu, Hawaii; Kenneth Foye, Mr. Horeb, Wisconsin; 21 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; 2 sons: Rodney and Rodger; step-son: Mark Chambers; brothers: Dave, Randy, Gerry, and Glenn Foye.

Military Rites will be conducted by the Crawfordsville VFW and American Legion Posts Thursday, December 20, at 10:30 AM at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, 315 S. Washington St., Crawfordsville, IN 47933. Funeral services will immediately follow with Rev. Don Wilson officiating. Cremation will follow the funeral services. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 19, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
