Harold Allen

Harold "Johnny" Allen, age 91, of Kingman passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born in Harveysburg, Indiana on October 4, 1924 to the late Charles & Clara (Shoemaker) Allen.

He graduated from Wallace High school in 1943 and married his wife of 65 years, Elizabeth (James) Allen on December 10, 1951 in Newport.

Throughout the years Johnny was a farmer, mechanic, and a truck driver for many. He never met a stranger and was quite a storyteller, loved to play his guitar and harmonica in his band, loved to sing to his wife and family, and was an animal lover. He was a 50-year Mason of the Yeddo Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; 8 grandchildren, Clayton (Shireena) Allen, Erica (Craig) Morgan, Bradly J. (Kristine) Allen Jr., Brandi Allen, Chad Allen, Tom Mann, Michelle (Bruce) Ratcliff, and Nathan Moore; 21 great-grandchildren and his dog, Rocky.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 sons, Donnie, Randall, and Bradly; a daughter, Anna Marie; one brother and seven sisters; one grandson, one great-granddaughter, and his dog Bambi

Visitation will be Monday, May 2, 2016 from noon till 2pm with the funeral following at 2pm at Sanders Funeral Care, 203 S 1st Street, in Kingman with Loren Stephens officiating. Burial will follow at Kingman Fraternal Cemetery. Share memories and condolences online at www.sandersfuneralcare.com
