Harold R. Ridge

Mr. Harold R. Ridge, age 75, of Waynetown, IN., passed away at Williamsburg Health Care on Saturday evening November 14, 2015.
Harold was born June 16, 1940 at Crawfordsville, IN the son of Claude I. Ridge and Elizabeth A. Patterson Ridge and grew up on a farm north of Waynetown and attended Waynetown High school. On September 16, 1962 he married his sweetheart Alice Louise Carr and she preceded him in death on April 2, 2015. Harold worked as a welder for Hyster Corp until they closed and then retired from Walmart Optical in Crawfordsville, IN. Harold loved to sit on the porch with Alice and watch the birds and squirrels in the yard. He loved to do yard work, deer hunt, raise beagle dogs and torment his many nieces and nephews. Harold is survived by his son David Ridge of Waynetown, IN., two sisters; Judy (husband Terry) Wilson of Crawfordsville, IN., and Janice (husband Ralph) Miller of Crawfordsville, IN., and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in also death by his parents and one brother, Jack Ridge.
There will be a public visitation for Harold on Thursday, November 19th from noon until 2:00 p.m. with a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Shoemaker Funeral Home 202 Bratton Rd. Waynetown with the Rev. Dorman Winger officiating with cremation to take place afterwards. A graveside committal service of the cremains will be held Monday November 23rd at 2:00 p.m. at Waynetown Masonic Cemetery.
