Hazel Keedy

Mrs. Hazel M. Keedy, 95, Crawfordsville, passed away at 4:00 PM Wednesday, January 4, in her home. She was born October 2, 1916, in Glasgow, Kentucky to Herman and Bessie (Speakman) Smith. She married William Keedy, March 24, 1934 in Crawfordsville. He preceded her in death in 1987.

Mrs. Keedy was a retired homemaker, cook, waitress, and housekeeper.

She is survived by her daughters: Lois Birdsong and Marie (Tom) Gallatin, both of Crawfordsville. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and 8 great great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Mickels; brothers: Pete, Charles, and John Smith; sisters: Mabel Furnish, Thelma Lasko, and Aneta Krepps; and her parents.

A graveside service will be held Friday, January 6, at 2:30 PM at the Oak Hill Grant Avenue Cemetery, with Rev. Jene McVay officiating. Friends may call at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, 315 S.
