Hazel Marie Kerr

Mrs. Hazel Marie Kerr, 101, Crawfordsville, formerly of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, passed away Friday, February 26th, at 4:20 AM in the Williamsburg Healthcare. She was born January 25th, 1915, in Guilford, Indiana, to Frank and Matilda (Sumser) Lutz. She married William John Kerr on June 17th, 1939, in Lawrenceburg. He preceded her in death in 1995.

Mrs. Kerr was a Homemaker; a 1933 Graduate of Gilford High School; was a member of St. Lawrence and St. Bernard's Catholic Churches; was a member of The Daughters of Isabella, St. Ann Alter Society; and The Foresters Society. In her free time she enjoyed playing Bingo.

She is survived by her daughter: Janet (James) Zielinski, Crawfordsville; sisters: Margie Gulley, Greenfield, Indiana; Mildred Sweepenheiser, Cincinnati; daughter-in-law: Becky Kerr, Grove City, Ohio; 6 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 great great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son: Jerry; her brother: Russell Lutz; sister: Elsie Bratton; and her parents.

A Funeral Mass is scheduled for 11:00 AM Saturday, March 5th, in the St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 542 Walnut St., Lawrenceburg, Indiana, with Fr. Peter Gallagher officiating. Burial will follow in the Greendale Cemetery in Lawrenceburg. There will be a Visitation Friday, March 4th, from Noon until 2:00 PM in St. Bernard's Catholic Church, 1306 E. Main St., Crawfordsville and from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Saturday in the St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Lawrenceburg. Powers-Priebe Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
