Mrs. Helen Morine Hightower Falting, age 77, of Waynetown, In passed away at 5:31 PM Saturday March 30, 2013 at Parkwood Nursing Home, Lebanon, IN.
Helen was born May 6, 1935 in Logan County Kentucky to Ellis and Mammie Case Hightower. She attended the Todd County Kentucky school and as an adult recieved her GED from North Montgomery School corporation the same year her youngest daughter graduated high school. Helen had worked as a nurses aid and then as an at home caregiver at the old Culver Hospital, Ben Hur Nursing home and Lane House nursing home in Crawfordsville, In.
She married Douglas Falting on Deccember 31, 1954 in Springfield Tennessee and he survives at Waynetown, In. Other survivors include 3 daughters: Donna & Rick Hansen of Terre Haute, In.; Pam & Kevin Kellison of Yountsville, In. and Amy & Brett Bollinger of Frisco, Colorado. 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren with one on the way. She is also survived by 2 brothers; James and Emmar Hightower of Russellville, Ky. and David Hightower of Elkton Ky. One sister: Florine & Arie Siemaska of Springfield, Tn.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents and 4 brothers Waymon, Callie, Elijah and Clyde Hightower, and 2 sisters Imogene Hightower and Hazel Mullens.
The family is following Helen"s wishes for cremation and therefore there will be no public visitation. There will be a private family commital service of her ashes in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery on Saturday April 6th with Pastor Lorene Stephens officiating.
