Helen "Lavonne" (Wolf) Bridwell

Helen "Lavonne" (Wolf) Bridwell, age 89 of Linden, passed away on Friday, July 14, 2023 at Wellbrooke of Crawfordsville. She was born in Romney on October 4, 1933 to the late Marion & Minnie (Deacon) Wolf.

Lavonne graduated from Romney High School in 1951. She was an executive assistant at Alcoa in Lafayette for 30 years before retiring. She enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, crocheting, playing her organ, playing scrabble on her computer, and spending time at the lake house.

On October 17, 1957 she married the love of her life, Max Bridwell, he survives. She also leaves behind a brother, David Wolf of Mulberry; a sister, Vicki Sherwin of Colorado; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Richard Wolf and Bill Wolf; and two sisters, Judy Reamer and Beverly Switzer.

There will be a Graveside service on Friday, July 21, 2023 at 2:00 pm at the Oak Hill Cemetery Mausoleum, 392 Oak Hill Road, in Crawfordsville. In lieu of flowers, memorials donations may be given in her memory to the Animal Welfare League of Montgomery County, 1104 Big 4 Arch Rd, Crawfordsville, IN 47933.
