Hilma Sue Owensby

Hilma Sue (Lindley) Owensby, age 79 of Kingman and formerly of Elkhart, passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2025, at Franciscan Health in Lafayette. She was born in Annapolis, Indiana on August 28, 1945, to the late Leland Lee & Martha Jane (Craft) Lindley.

Hilma grew up in Sylvania and on June 7, 1964, she married Lonnie Eugene Saylor, who preceded her in death on April 16, 1992. She then married Johnny Owensby, who also preceded her in death. She enjoyed watching her game shows and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her two sons, Troy Saylor of Texas and Brad (Rene) Saylor of Bloomingdale; four grandchildren, Tyler, Benjamin, Amanda and Lauren; a great grandson, Jiraiya; a brother, Howard (Rhonda) Lindley; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Lonnie Eugene Saylor; her second husband, Johnny Owensby; a son, Lonnie Dean Saylor; her brothers, Chuck, Gerald, Chester, and Melvin Lindley; and her sisters, Bev Sweezy, Nancy Beukema, and Martha Rosetta Lindley.
