Imogene Marie Reath

Mrs. Marie Reath, 88, Crawfordsville, passed away Wednesday, January 7th, at 11:48 PM in The Whitlock House. She was born August 11th, 1926, in Crawfordsville, to Ruel Hobart and Cora Marie (Cassida) Peacock. She married Charles Ernest Reath on September 30th, 1951, in Crawfordsville. He preceded her in death on June 12th, 2014.

Mrs. Reath was a Homemaker. She was a 1944 graduate of Crawfordsville High School; was a member of the First Baptist Church of Crawfordsville where she was a active with the Alpha Chi and Keenagers Sunday School Classes. In her free time she enjoyed embroidery, sewing, and reading.

She is survived by her children: Gary (Janita) Reath, Crawfordsville; Sharon Dellinger Kincaid, Pittsboro; and Sandra (Mike) Riggen, Crawfordsville. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren; 5 great grandchldren; and 4 step great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter: Janet Lynn Reath in 1986; her sister: Freeda Jackson; and her parents.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM Tuesday, January 13th, at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home with Rev. Isaac Zull officiating. Burial will follow in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until the service time.
