Irene Fry

Ms. Irene Marie Fry, 63, Crawfordsville, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on Wednesday morning. She was born October 22, 1950, in Crawfordsville, to Oliver R. and Laura M. (Gray) Fry.

Irene was a Certified Dietary Manager, having worked for Ben Hur Nursing Home, Culver Hospital, Williamsburg Healtcare, Carmen Nursing Home (5 years), and Houston Home Healthcare (15 years). She had also worked for 3 years as a Director Support Professional with ASI Services and 15 years for McDonalds. She was a graduate of Crawfordsville High School; a graduate with an Associate Degree in Dietary Management from University of North Dakota; and attended Calvary Chapel Church. She enjoyed playing Bingo, reading, swimming classes at Crawfordsville High School, good conversation, and spending time with her friends, nieces, nephews, and her many adopted grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter: Karrie Ann Fry, Crawfordsville; sisters: Judith (Ray) Estep, Sharon Verhey, Kandy (Carl) Gleason, Debbie Northcutt, all of Crawfordsville; Paula (David) Benge, Jamestown; brothers: Mike (Patsy) Fry, Florida; Jim Fry, Texas; Greg (Adrianne) Northcutt, Waynetown; and companion: David Brindle, New Market. She was preceded in death by her parents; son: Royce Edward Darwactor II; brothers: Joe Fryand Mark Northcutt; and step father: Ralph Northcutt.

Cremation was chosen with a "Celebration of Irene's Life" being held on Sunday, June 1, at the Calvary Chapel Church, 915 N. Whitlock Ave from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM . Memorials may be made to: Muscular Dystrophy Association, PO Box 78960, Phoenix, AZ 85062
