Jack Moore

Jack W. Moore, 85, Crawfordsville, passed away on Thursday, July 7, at 11:25 AM at the Williamsburg Healthcare, Crawfordsville. He was born July 8, 1925 in Newport, Indiana, to Archie L. and Maude E. (Lyday) Moore. He first married Flora Marlene Cox on June 26, 1949 in Newport. She survives. They later divorced and he married Della May Griswold on May 6, 1972 in Waynetown, Indiana. She preceded him in death May 31, 2009.

Mr. Moore was retired from Bordens Milk Company where he had been a home delivery driver. He attended Newport schools; was a member of the St. Paul's Community Church in LInden and the Eagles Lodge in Crawfordsville.

He is survived by 3 daughters: Barbara (Mark) Addler, Waveland; Melinda (Dale) Kennedy, Loves Park, Illinois; and Linda (Steve) Price, Indianapolis: 2 sons: Jack (Julie) Moore, Potomac, Illinois, and Mark (Robin) Gahimer, Plains, Pennsylvania: 11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Cremation was selected with a public committal graveside service to be held Wednesday, July 13th at 11:00 am at the Linden Cemetery, Linden, Indiana, with Rev. Dr. R.Clayton Kendall, officiating.
