Jack Allen Murphy

Mr. Jack Allen Murphy, 73, Crawfordsville, passed away Friday, May 12th, 2017 in the Franciscan Health Crawfordsville Hospital. He was born in Crawfordsville on December 2nd, 1943, to Robert Allen and Viola (Cooksey) Murphy. He married Anita Bea Moody. She survives.

Jack retired from the Crawfordsville Fire Department after more than 20 years of service. He was a 1963 graduate of Coal Creek Central High School and enjoyed NASCAR; watching his two grandsons race; doing yard work; going to flea markets; and playing cards.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two sons: Todd (Tia) Murphy and Troy Murphy. Also surviving are four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter: Tami Booher; and his parents.

A Public Graveside Service is being held on Monday, May 15th, at 1:00 PM in the Indian Creek Hill Cemetery, New Market, with Kevin Howey officiating.
