James Thomas Brady, age 27, of Darlington passed away on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 from injuries sustained in a vehicle accident. He was born in Saginaw, MI on March 8, 1991 to Thomas James Brady and the late Darlene Brady.
James married the love of his life, Shannon Marie (Mundy) Brady on June 19, 2015 in Ft. Thompson, South Dakota. He attended the First Baptist Church in Crawfordsville and was a massage therapist who worked at Hand & Stone in Carmel and Spine Worx in Lafayette. He loved the outdoors, hunting, hiking, and woodworking. While growing up in Michigan he spent many countless hours in the woods, tracking and trapping anywhere he could.
He perfected the art of getting to know people and had many that he called friends and even family. He has left behind many of these friends, most notably his mentor and whom he has often referred to as his father and mother in Christ, Steve and Anna Cox of Leavenworth, IN. He will be remembered fondly by all, and although he will be missed we are glad that his eyes have now seen the glory of our Lord and his ears have heard the Lord say those precious words “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
He is survived by his wife, Shannon and their two children, Isaac and Naomi Brady of Darlington; his father, Thomas Brady of Michigan; two sisters, Katrina (John) Harper and Barbara (Brian) Lambert, both of Michigan; 4 nephews, and 3 nieces, grandmother, Elizabeth Brady, grandmother, Barbara Elliot; and his father and mother-in-law, Richard & Jennifer Mundy, as well as Shannon’s siblings and their spouses, and 3 nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Darlene and half-brother, Thomas James Brady, his Grandfather Thomas Brady, and his Grandfather Al Schlicker.
Visitation will be at First Baptist Church, 1905 Lebanon Road, in Crawfordsville on Monday, January 21, 2019 from 11:00am till the time of the funeral service at 2:00pm with Pastor Dan Boeck officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Darlington. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the family to help with funeral expenses.
