James Carlos Carroll

Mr. James Carlos "Jim" Carroll, 79, Crawfordsville, passed away peacefully Monday, June 29th, at 10:44 PM, in his home surrounded by his family. He was born May 9th, 1936, in Indianapolis to Austin and Ella (Dodson) Carroll. He married Sue Ann Clodfelter in Greencastle on November 26th, 1954. She survives.

Jim was the Owner-Operator of Carroll and Parks Plumbing & Heating in Crawfordsville on Pike St. for many years. He was a member of the Local #157 Pipe Fitters Union. In his free time he enjoyed playing golf.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughter: Jamie Sue (Tom) Peacock, Crawfordsville; brother: David (Sherry) Carroll, Crawfordsville; son-in-law: Bill Durbin, Crawfordsville; brother-in-law: Gene Clodfelter, Roachdale; grandchildren: Brent (Diana) Durbin, Crawfordsville; Shane (Alyssa) Powell, West Lafayette; Joni (James) Jeffries, Great Barrington, Massachusetts; Jake Peacock, Chicago; great grandchildren: Ethan Powell, Emily Powell, Elli Jeffries, Graye Jeffries, Orion Durbin, and Alexander Durbin; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter: Vickey Durbin in 2012; his parents; and his sister-in law: Phyllis Clodfelter.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM Friday, July 3rd, in the Oak Hill Cemetery Mausoleum, with Rev. James Ranard officiating. Entombment will follow the funeral service. Friends may call at the Oak Hill Cemetery Mausoleum on Friday, from Noon until the service time.
