James Myers

Mr. James L. "Jim" Myers, 58, Crawfordsville, passed away at his home on Sunday. He was born in Crawfordsville to Dave and Linda (Layne) Myers on April 29, 1954.

Mr. Myers had worked for 25 years at Layne & Myers Grain Elevator, New Market, for 25 years. He also had worked at Sommer Metalcraft. He was a 1972 graduate of Southmont High School and attended Indiana State University. He was a member of New Hope Christian Church and enjoyed go-karting.

He is survived by his son: Brandon (Jodi) Myers, Crawfordsville; his parents of New Market; his sister: Becky (Wayne) Nelson, Crawfordsville; grandson: Lincoln Myers; nephew: Matt (Kathleen) Nelson; and niece: Michelle Ramsey. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and a nephew: Michael Nelson.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 30, at 10:00 AM at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, 315 S. Washington St., Crawfordsville, with Revs. Michael Whitacre and Dan Thompson officiating.

Burial will be at the Indian Creek Hill Cemetery, New Market. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Memorials may be made to the donor's favorite charity. Online condolences may be sent to: powerspriebefh.com
