James Wayne Sanders, age 63, of Kingman passed away on Monday, December 21, 2015. He was born in Yeddo on June 15, 1952 to the late Elmer Sanders and Betty Jo (Corey) Nelson.
He attended Fountain Central High School and married the love of his life, Wanda Lea (Vickroy) Sanders on November 12, 1973. James was a truck driver and throughout the years worked for H.G Ratcliff, Louis Smith, Morris Smith, and J.A. Taylor. He loved to fish, sit and watch T.V, and loved his grandchildren and his dog Fred.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Sanders of Kingman; 5 daughters, Stephanie Sanders of Waveland, Christine Sanders, Elizabeth Sanders, Samantha (Rick) Lewis, all of Kingman, and Patricia (Travis) Pulley of New Richmond; 2 brothers, Charles (Mary) Sanders of Hillsboro and Joe (Brenda) Sanders of Kingman; 2 sisters, Emma (Joe) Plunkett and Helen (George) Plunkett, both of Kingman; 5 grandchildren, Carolyn Sue, Allison Marie, Kendra Nicole, Hope Ann, and Cooper Gene; many nieces and nephews; and his dog, Fred.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Elmer and Bill; a sister, Shirley "Peach", and a son infant son, Jason.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, December 27, 2015 from 5-8pm at Sanders Funeral Care, 203 S 1st Street, Kingman. Funeral service will be on Monday, December 28, 2015 at 11am at the funeral home with Pastor Steve Crum officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Covington.
