Mr. Jeffrey Wayne Keim, 61, Lebanon, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday, September 8th, at 9:00 PM in the Witham Memorial Hospital, Lebanon.. He was born May 18th, 1955, in Crawfordsville, to Jason E. and Mary Elizabeth (Hester) Keim. He married Cynthia Dianne Smith on March 29th, 2008, in Lebanon. She survives.

Jeff retired after 18 years with R.R. Donnellleys where he worked in the Utilities Office. He also retired after 21 years from the U. S. Army and the Army National Guard, having been stationed in Alaska for several years. He was a 1973 graduate of Crawfordsville High School; a member of the Crawfordsville American Legion Post #72; and in his free time enjoyed fishing, hunting, and hiking.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his Mother: Mary Beth Keim, Crawfordsville; children: David Yeoman, McCordsville; Jennifer Elston, Rossville; and Elizabeth Ruark, Lebanon. Also surviving are his brothers: Stephen (Priscilla) Keim, Westfield; Brian (Cheryl) Keim, Crawfordsville; Eric (Katrina) Keim, Lugoff, South Carolina; grandchildren: Bethany, Emily, Haley, Gabe, Gavin, Brandon, and Corey. He was preceded in death by his father in 2014; his son-in-law: Kyle Elston in August of 2016; and his grandparents.

Cremation was chosen with a Memorial Service being held on Tuesday, September 13th, at 6:00 PM, at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, Crawfordsville, with Pastor Greg Higbee officiating. The family will greet friends on Tuesday at the funeral home from 2:00 PM until the service time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: The Montgomery County Community Foundation for the Veteran's Court, PO Box 334, Crawfordsville, IN 47933; The Wounded Warriors Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675; or the Lebanon Public Library, 104 E. Washington St., Lebanon, IN 46205.
