Joe Phillip Bacon

Joe Phillip Bacon, age 87 of Kingman, passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at the VA Hospital in Danville, Illinois. He was born in Frankfort, Indiana on February 16, 1936 to the late Charles & Cora (Baum) Bacon.
Joe attended Wallace High school until he enlisted in the United States Marine Corp at the age of 16. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp from 1954-1957. Throughout the years he worked as a painter and was a life-time member of the VFW and Kingman American Legion.
He is survived by a son, Michael (Pam Rennick) Bacon; a daughter, Melody Borst; twelve grandchildren, Patrick T., Wendy, Shaun, Heidi, Hollie, Hannah, Hilda, Justice, Japheth, Hulda Lou-Ann, Ethan and Elye; many great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Jack Bacon and Patrick Bacon; three siblings, Jim, Dick, and Wilma; and two great grandsons, Damon and Samson.
There will be a graveside service at Coal Creek Cemetery, 2351 W Snoddy Road, Covington on Monday, July 24, 2023 at 11:00am with military honors by the United States Marine Corp. Sanders Funeral Care entrusted with care. Share memories and condolences online at www.SandersFuneralCare.com.
