John Lester Daniels

Mr. John Lester Daniels, age 75, of Alamo, passed away on Tuesday morning April 16, 2018 at Franciscan St. Elizabeth Health, Crawfordsville, IN.

John was born March 26, 1944 in Hendricks County, IN the son of Benjamin and Lois Irene (nee: Costellow) Daniels and graduated from Russellville High School and then served in the US Army. He married Sandra Kay Hoffa on December 22, 1967 and she preceded him in death on April 21, 2018. John was a hard worker who was cutting firewood just days before he passed away and had worked in the building trades for Fishero Construction before his retirement.

John is survived by his son Wesley Daniels (companion Novita Powell) of Crawfordsville, In. and 2 grandchildren, Heather and David Daniels also of Crawfordsville. John Also leaves behind his 3 brothers Jeff (Mary) Daniels and Rick Daniels of Crawfordsville and Ben Daniels Jr of Austin TX., and his sister Judy Marshall of Arizona.

John had expressed his wish for a simple cremation with no services. Shoemaker Funeral Home, Waynetown, In. thanks his family for asking us to assist them with these arrangements.
