John Michael Kader

Mr. John Michael Kader, Sr., Crawfordsville, passed away Friday, May 15th, at 2:52 PM in the St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis. He was born January 14th, 1945, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Louis Gene and Irene Rose (Szukhent) Kader. He married Teresa K. Smith on June 14th, 1979, in Otisville, Michigan. She survives.

Mr. Kader was the owner of "Count on Us" painting and handyman services in Florida for 25 years. He was a 1964 graduate of Lakeville High School, Otisville, and attended Mott Community College. He was a member of the New Harvest Church, Crawfordsville, and in his free time he enjoyed his grandkids, doing woodworking, going on a cruise, and playing the slots at a casino.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons: Joseph (Claudetta) Kader, John Michael Kader, Jr., Chris Kader, and Jeremy Kader, all of Crawfordsville. Also surviving are his brothers: Louis (Sharon) Kader, Columbiaville, Michigan; Joe Kader, St. Clair Shores, Michigan; sister: Barbara Burger, Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and 18 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister: Irene Rose Miller; and grandson: John Michael Kader, III.

Funeral services are scheduled for 7:00 PM Thursday, May 21st, at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, with Pastor Josef Lee officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 PM until the service time. Cremation will follow the funeral services.
