John “Johnny” Harold Davis, age 71 of Kingman passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2019 at home while surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Cayuga on October 29, 1947 to Harold & Ruth (Hinote) Davis and was raised by Donald Dowers.

Johnny attended Turkey Run High School until he enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. On February 13, 2002 he married the love of his life, Teena Barnett, who survives. Throughout the years he was an autobody mechanic and worked at Delta Craft in Ridge Farm, IL and Jefferies Body Shop in Attica. He was a member of the Cayuga American Legion Post #263 and enjoyed camping, boating and fishing on the river and loved riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.

He is survived by his wife, Tenna of Kingman; three sons, Chris (Lori) Colson of Dana, Bill (Samantha) Davis of Bono, and Johnny (B.J) Lovall of Newport; three daughters, Stacey (Lane) Jackson of Dana, JoAnn Howard and Trish Hudson, both of Cayuga; a sister, Janice (Raya) Billingsley of Westville, IL; several grandchildren; and many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four sisters, Eve, Joyce, Debbie, and Nellie.

Cremation was chosen with a graveside service at the VA National Cemetery, 1900 E Main St, in Danville, IL on Monday, September 9, 2019 at 12pm (noon) IN time (11:00am IL time) with military rites by the United States Army and American Legion.
