Jordan Spencer

Jordan Brady "Buzz" Spencer, 20, Waveland, passed away at 8:27 PM, Wednesday, February 13 in the St. Elizabeth Crawfordsville Hospital after a long battle with severe epilepsy. He also lived with Autism for many years. Jordan was born July 15, 1992, in Crawfordsville, to Jeffrey D. and Jennifer "Jo" (Truax) Spencer.

Jordan had been a student at Southmont and Crawfordsville Life Skills Schools. He loved being outdoors; playing basketball and baseball; picking up sticks with his wheelbarrow; fixing his lawnmowers; and swimming in the lake. Going for rides in the Jeep with his Dad was one of Jordan's favorite summer activities. He also loved to do arts and crafts like his Mom, especially rubber stamping. Some of his favorite things were: John Deere tractors; skid steer loaders; and Winnie the Pooh.

Jordan is survived by his Dad and Step-Mom: Jeff and Robin Spencer, Waveland; his sisters: Cassie (Dan) Hagan, Jeffersonville; Morgan Spencer, Indianapolis; Abigail Spencer, Crawfordsville; his grandmothers: Patsy Spencer, Crawfordsville; and Mary Truax, Crawfordsville. He was preceded in death by his Mother in 2003; his grandfathers: Eugene Spencer and Harold Truax; and his cousin: Heidi Swinford.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 17, from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, Crawfordsville. Immediately following the visitation at 6:00 PM a funeral service will be held with Rev. Rodger Ward officiating. Cremation will follow the funeral services. Jordan and his family were grateful to be accommodated by the Ronald McDonald House during time spent at Riley Hospital when he was younger.
