Joshua Carl Chieppo

Joshua Carl Chieppo, age 35 of Crawfordsville passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 from injuries sustained in a vehicle accident.  He was born in Crawfordsville on March 3, 1983 to Phil & Mel (Birdsong) Chieppo.

Josh attended North Montgomery High School and received his associate’s degree in applied science from Ivy Tech.  He worked at Inland Container and most recently was a journeyman lineman for Linden Tipmont REMC for the last 8 years and attended Calvary Chapel of Crawfordsville.  He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, canoeing, and “beating on junk”.  He loved doing everything with his children, racing ATV’s, playing badminton, and just being with them.  He was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, and friend and will be missed by so many.

He married the love of his life, Nikki Jo Dixon, on June 11, 2005 in Crawfordsville and they have three beautiful children together; their daughters, Darzy and Shelby; and son, Hunter.  He is also survived by his parents, Phil & Mel Chieppo; a sister, Kaci (Nick) Hoskins; grandmother, Lois Birdsong; mother-in-law, Lori (Dan) Pickett; father-in-law, George (Paula) Dixon; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, R.C Birdsong and grandparents, Tony & Julia Chieppo.

Visitation will be at Sanders Priebe Funeral Care, 315 S Washington Street in Crawfordsville on Monday, November 12, 2018 from 4:00pm – 8:00pm.  The celebration of life service will be at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 11:00am with Pastor Dave Keesee officiating.  Burial will follow at Oak Hill South Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Chieppo’s Children’s College Fund, 315 S Washington St, Crawfordsville, IN 47933.  Share memories and condolences online at www.sandersfuneralcare.com
