Mrs. Judith Sue Watson, 77, Waynetown, passed away Monday, September 5th, at 12:30 AM in the St. Elizabeth Crawfordsville Hospital. She was born August 11th, 1939 in Crawfordsville, to Kenneth and Virginia (Priest) Sering. She married William "Bill" Watson in Crawfordsville on September 5th, 1985. He survives.

Sue was a Nurse. She proudly received her cap and degree in 1982 from the Ivy Tech School of Nursing. She worked at several nursing facilities in the Crawfordsville area and in the Skilled Nursing Unit at St. Clare Hospital, where she was known as "Sue from SNU". Prior to becoming a Nurse, she had worked for R.R. Donnelleys where she graduated from the Apprentice Program as a Proofreader. She was a member of the Crawfordsville First Baptist Church where she sang in the Choir. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, flowers, crocheting, cross-stitching, and traveling. Most of all she loved time with her family.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children: Patty Temple, Crawfordsville; Julie Leath, Lafayette; Brian Leath, Salem, Virginia; and Jeff Leath, Crawfordsville. Also surviving are step-children: Jeff (Barbara) Watson, Covington, Georgia; Ron (Christy) Watson, Waveland; Pam of Colorado; and Janice of Ohio; brother: Bob (Norma) Sering, Alamo; sisters-in-law: Hazel Sering, Crawfordsville; and Linda Sering, Birmingham, Alabama; uncles: William Ed (Lois) Priest and Theron (Shirley) Priest, both of Crawfordsville; good friends: Erica Edwards, Waynetown; and Stella Cummings, Battle Ground; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild: Satie Bragg; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter: Kathy; 2 infant sons; brothers: Roger and John Sering.

Cremation was chosen with a Memorial Service being held on Saturday, September 17th, at 2:00 PM at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, with Rev. Isaac Zull offiiating, followed by inurnment in the Oak Hill North Cemetery Mausoleum. The family will greet friends on Saturday at the funeral home from Noon until the service time.
