Julia Day

Mrs. Julia D. "Judy" Day, Crawfordsville, passed away Monday, May 6, at 4:40 PM, in the Franciscan-St. Elizabeth Crawfordsville Hospital. She was born August 31, 1934, in Westfield to Alden L. and Janie (Johnson) Edwards. She married Raymond L. Day on July 2, 1954, in Cicero. He survives.

Mrs Day was a homemaker and had worked as a Nurses Aide; for J.C. Penneys; and at the Redwood Inn. She attended New Ross Schools; attended the Mace United Methodist Church; collected dolls; an enjoyed camping.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children: Raymond A. Day, Crawfordsville; Debbie Starcher, Elmdale; and Donna Cooper, Linden. Also surviving is her brother: Gerald (Fay) Edwards, Lapel; her sister: Lavina Mae "Jake" Edwards, Carmel; grandchildren: Jade, Jason, and Justin Pastore; Nick Cooper, and Chelsea Day. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Ed, Robert, Raymond, John, Howard, and Harold Edwards; sisters: Emma Chappy and Dorothy Martin.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 10, at 11:00 AM, at Powers-Priebe Funeral Home, with Rev. Rodger Ward officiating. Burial will be in the Mace Community Cemetery.
